Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our interior design, execution, pricing, timelines and aftercare.
Section 01
Getting started
The essentials to know before the first site visit or design conversation.
What interior services does RICCO offer?+
We design and execute complete interiors for homes, apartments and villas. Depending on your scope, this can include space planning, 3D visualisation, modular kitchens, wardrobes, custom furniture, lighting coordination and final installation. Your written quotation will clearly list every inclusion.
Which locations do you serve?+
Our primary focus is Coimbatore. Projects outside the city can be considered after reviewing the location, scope and site requirements. Share the project address early so travel, logistics and supervision can be planned correctly.
What should I bring to the first meeting?+
Bring a floor plan or rough sketch, site photographs and a few interiors you like. Also share your must-haves, approximate budget, possession date and target handover. These details make the first conversation far more useful.
When can planning begin?+
Planning can begin once the space can be measured accurately. For a new home, this is usually after the main walls are built. RICCO will review site readiness before confirming measurements, services coordination and the project schedule.
Can my existing furniture be included?+
Yes. Furniture you already love can add character and meaning to the new home. Share photographs and measurements, or show the pieces during the site visit, so the layout, colours and surrounding joinery can be planned around them.
Section 02
Services, design & personalisation
A clear design process lets you see, compare and approve before work moves to site.
How does the design and execution process work?+
The usual journey is: site visit and measurement; requirement discussion; detailed quotation; office review of references and samples; booking and agreement; initial design direction; final design approval; material delivery; installation; quality check and handover. Exact stages are confirmed for your project.
Do you provide 3D visuals and drawings?+
Yes. RICCO uses space planning, 3D visualisation and project drawings to make decisions clearer before execution. The proposal will state which views, drawings, specifications and revision rounds are included.
Can I choose a design-only service?+
Yes. Design concepts and drawings can be provided without full execution, with one site visit before design begins. Your proposal will confirm the exact fee and deliverables for your scope.
Can I see the design before paying?+
Interior design is a personalised professional service created for your exact space, so custom design work begins after the agreed payment. Before booking, you can review RICCO's portfolio and relevant completed projects to understand the studio's approach and quality.
Can I choose the colours, materials and finishes?+
Absolutely. You can review references and physical samples, while the team helps compare appearance, durability, maintenance and budget. Final selections should be recorded before execution so everyone is working from the same approved information.
Can I change something after design approval?+
Raise changes as early as possible. A request made after approval, ordering or installation has begun may affect feasibility, price and timing. The impact should be reviewed and documented before the related work proceeds.
Section 03
Investment, quotation & timing
Confidence grows when the scope, milestones and commercial terms are easy to understand.
How long does an interior project take?+
Most projects take approximately 25–90 working days. Larger, highly customised or renovation projects may need more time. The final schedule depends on scope, design approvals, site readiness, material availability and changes requested during execution.
What determines the project cost?+
The main factors are home size, number of rooms, design complexity, materials, finishes, hardware, custom furniture, services work and existing site conditions. Sharing a realistic budget range helps the team develop a proposal around the priorities that matter most.
How are payments structured?+
A typical execution schedule runs 50% before work begins, 40% when materials are delivered and 10% on completion. A booking payment may apply at confirmation. Your quotation and agreement will show the exact milestones and how the booking amount is adjusted.
What should I check before approving the quotation?+
Review the scope, drawings, material specifications, finishes, quantities where applicable, inclusions, exclusions, taxes, payment milestones, expected schedule and warranty terms. Ask for anything unclear to be explained and recorded before signing.
Why choose a professional interior team?+
A coordinated team brings design, procurement, multiple trades, installation and quality control into one plan. This provides clearer accountability and can reduce rework, communication gaps and avoidable surprises. Compare providers on documentation, specifications, workmanship and support — not price alone.
Section 04
Execution & remote coordination
Good site work depends on readiness, documented decisions and a dependable communication rhythm.
What does "site ready" mean?+
At minimum, the space should be safe and accessible for accurate measurement, with the main walls complete and major builder changes understood. Electrical, plumbing, flooring and ceiling status should be discussed during the site visit because they affect drawings and sequencing.
Who coordinates the work on site?+
For turnkey projects, the RICCO team coordinates the approved design, materials, production and installation within the contracted scope. The quotation identifies work by RICCO, work by others and any decisions needed from the homeowner.
How will I receive progress updates?+
Agree the update method and frequency at the start of the project. Photographs, milestone reviews and scheduled calls help keep approvals, site progress and pending client decisions visible without constant follow-up.
Can an NRI or out-of-station owner manage the project remotely?+
Yes. Remote projects can use digital plans, 3D views, material approvals, progress photographs and scheduled calls. A local access contact and clear approval process are helpful, and the final handover can be planned around the owner's visit.
What can affect the completion date?+
Late approvals, revised scope, builder delays, unavailable materials, restricted site access and unforeseen renovation conditions can change the schedule. Early decisions and written confirmation of changes help protect both timing and budget.
Section 05
Quality, warranty & aftercare
The finished home should be checked carefully and supported by terms you can understand.
What is RICCO's quality and warranty policy?+
Materials are quality checked, with one year of free maintenance for installed products, a one-year replacement warranty on hinges and channels, and a 10-year rust warranty for eligible stainless-steel kitchen accessories and pipes. Coverage is subject to the written product and project terms.
How do I request maintenance or warranty support?+
Keep your quotation, agreement and invoice safely. Contact RICCO with the project details, photographs and a short description of the issue. The team can then review eligibility, the relevant product or workmanship terms, and the next service step.
How long does a false ceiling last?+
A properly specified and installed false ceiling can remain in good condition for many years. Lifespan depends on the material, workmanship, moisture, leaks, impact and maintenance. Addressing seepage or damage early helps protect the ceiling and surrounding finishes.
Does a false ceiling need special care?+
Only simple routine care is normally required. Use a soft duster or dry cloth, avoid soaking the surface or using abrasive cleaners, and do not place pressure on the ceiling. Attend to roof, plumbing or air-conditioning leaks promptly.
Do you consider Vastu and Coimbatore's climate?+
Yes. Vastu preferences, such as pooja-room placement, can be considered from the planning stage. Orientation, sunlight and local weather also inform layout, shading, ventilation and material choices — improving comfort and helping finishes perform better.
